What a great day & year to start all over again. As all of you might know, there will be a lot of gadget come out this year. We've been looking at the new iMac pro and apple tablet that has been rumor to come out this year. Surely this year Apple co. will shine.

Other than that, this year is also the world cup year. But that will be at June, so before that surely we're focusing on the Barclay premier league. United has been trailing the Blues for quite some time now and hopefully with only 2 point behind, united can take the lead and keep the premier league title at Old Trafford.

COMA: Wrong diagnose for 23 years

An engineering student thought to be in a coma for 23 years was actually conscious the whole time, it has emerged. For the whole time, he was trapped in his own body with no way of letting friends and family know he could hear every word they were saying.

Killing for human fat

LIMA, PERU - Peruvian police said on Thursday they had broken up a gang that allegedly killed dozens of people and sold their fat to buyers who used it to make cosmetics. Four Peruvians were arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, murder and trafficking in human fat.

The group stored the fat it collected in used soda and water bottles, which police showed reporters.

Gingerbread Vandals!

OSLO, Norway - The people of Bergen rolled out the cookie dough Monday as local police tried to sniff out vandals who destroyed the Norwegian city's traditional Christmas decoration -- a town of gingerbread houses.

Saturday vandals entered a massive tent in central Bergen and crushed most of the 650-cookie-house town, topping off the ruins with paint and fire extinguisher foam.

Police in Norway's second largest city asked the public to offer information that could lead to the perpetrators.

It's been awhile since our last post but actually we've in research for new thing to share. We've post about the google project to develop their own operating system and early this week read lots about Chromium OS that in the final stage of development.

Have a look at the first preview of Chromium OS:

So honestly what is Chromium OS: It's a operating system that dedicated to Network Book (Netbook). We don't really know what & how the installation will be but one thing for sure it's develop for internet user since the only way to use it is by connecting to the internet. And from the demo, we can see it's really a fast operating system since it will only running a browser for all you networking needs. Pretty neat.

For us, this is what basically you need when you're on the go but since the internet connection still a little bit slow back in Sabah, we don't think it's practical at the moment. But anyway, it's nice to see this kind of concept of operating system.

MOSCOW, Rusia – A 63-year-old homeless Russian man has gone from street life to stock market trader after collecting thousands of empty booze bottles for cash, a popular Russian tabloid reported on Tuesday.

Kebab sauce under investigation!

BERLIN, Germany - German police are investigating a chilli sauce to determine whether it was so spicy that it was capable of causing grievous bodily harm when used in an attack.

Police took a sample of the sauce from a kebab stand in Bremen's central train station after a kebab salesman threw it into the eyes of a customer during a fight over napkins.

What a plaster can do!

LONDON, England - A school in eastern England was ordered to pay 19,000 pounds ($30,140) Monday after a 16-year-old girl lost nearly all her fingers when she put her hands in a bucket of plaster of Paris during an art lesson.

The teen-ager was attempting to make a sculpture of her own hands during a lesson in January 2007 when the accident happened, Boston Magistrates' Court in Lincolnshire heard.

The plaster set around her hands and neither staff nor paramedics could get it off during the lesson at Giles School, in Boston.

The court was told that temperatures up to 60C can be generated in large quantities of plaster and the girl, who was not named in court, suffered terrible burns.

After a series of 12 operations, she was left with no fingers on one hand and just two on the other.

The school's governing body admitted breaching health and safety regulations and also failing to report the incident to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

A look back on this year environment event and news.

Early this year we have Earth hour where many of us switch our light in support of the climate changes @ global warming that has affected our earth.

In Malaysia many participate not only the large corporate group, celebrity but the individual who really concern about the climate change. For me personally, it surely open my eyes on how urgent we have to change to make sure we can survive & the future generation will be in safe condition.

A look back on the earth hour event:

This event really change how our crew think about the earth and be part of saving it is part of our mission.

Other than earth hour, we have participated in Honda environment campaign to save the Sumatran rhinos.

We're living in Borneo and this mammal is quite an endangered species. To have a large company as Honda to help out in Rhino conservation is a great thing.

So thank you to Honda for making such effort to make sure this endangered species still roam around in Borneo.

Early this year also, we've participated and promoted our beloved Sipadan Island as the 7th wonder of the world. We haven't been to sipadan but knowing how the island still there is fascinating. We know that Sipadan is like a mushroom.

It's a great island and hopefully we can be there to experience it ourselves.

Not forgetting among this campaign, one in particular that really many has participated was the DiGi Love to Save campaign.

We've supported the Borneo Trust on forest reservation to make sure that Sabah forest will be preserve. It's a great campaign since it's only need people to click to support the campaign and blogger can choose what the most important organization to support.

Thanks to DiGi in supporting and making sure the campaign is a success.

This year also, for sabahan, we've seen how our government concern the important of our forest and the effect of deforestation can do. They have committed in making 12 forest reservation through out Sabah.

Hopefully this kind of plan will help to minimize the deforestation that cause by logging industries.

It seem we covered many issue on environment but a lot can be done how to improve our environment for the sake of our future generation. Hopefully this Blog Action Day really can help to open the world eyes especially the leader to be more proactive in making sure our earth sustainable.

Thank you so much for those who have read this post and hopefully many will follow on conserving our environment. No matter what campaign you're supported, surely it's for better future generation.

Man jailed for mistaken identity!

GREENSBORO, North Carolina – Authorities say a 44-year-old man spent a week in jail because he has the same name as a suspect 23 years younger.

The News & Record of Greensboro reported Saturday that Jesse Ray Hardy Jr. of Greenville was arrested Monday, then taken to jail 160 miles away to face charges of resisting an officer, breaking and entering and failing to yield to a pedestrian.

Court officials say the real suspect shares the same name and hometown, but is not related.

GAZA, Palestine – Two white donkeys dyed with black stripes delighted Palestinian kids at a small Gaza zoo on Thursday who had never seen a zebra in the flesh.

With their long ears, drooping heads and sleepy eyes, the impostors probably would not have fooled the zoo's only lioness. But the effect achieved by the zoo owners' dye job looks not so bad -- to the unpracticed eye, and from a distance.

On closer inspection it resembles the classic striped convict suit of cartoon strips.

Dress code for teacher!!!

LONDON, England It is normally students who are sent home for inappropriate attire, but one English college is threatening to send lecturers home for violating a dress code, which includes a ban on jeans.

Their union has accused Birmingham Metropolitan College of "acting like the fashion police."

The newly re-issued dress code requires lecturers to wear a "business suit; smart jacket and co-ordinating trousers or skirt; smart shirt/top/blouse or smart dress."

Scruffy trousers, jeans, ostentatious jewelry and outrageous hair styles and colors are strictly banned.

Earrings must not be excessive and are the only form of jewelry allowed in visible piercings. The policy also states that tattoos must be covered.

Healthy baby born to woman in coma

MUNICH, Germany – A 40-year-old woman who fell into a coma in the 13th week of her pregnancy delivered a healthy baby 22 weeks later in a Bavarian hospital, German broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk reported on Friday.

She suffered a heart attack and fell into a coma early in her pregnancy. The University Clinic in Erlangen said it was the first time that a woman in a persistent vegetative state was able to deliver a healthy baby, the broadcaster said.

The baby is now 1-1/2 years old, it said.

It quoted Matthias Beckmann, a director at the hospital, saying: "We wanted to keep the spectacular case secret for as long as possible to demonstrate that we're not experimenting on people and that the child is still healthy."

Juvenile in action!

RIVERTON, Wyoming. – Wyoming police say an 11-year-old boy driving a large SUV led officers on a high speed chase reaching speeds of 100 mph. Bureau of Indian Affairs police say the chase started about 3 a.m. Tuesday near Riverton in central Wyoming and ended about 50 miles away near Crowheart on the Wind River Reservation.

The boy ditched the vehicle and jumped into a lake and began swimming but returned to shore where police collared him.

BIA Special Agent in Charge Charles Addington says that alcohol was involved and that charges were pending in juvenile court.

Technology error!

MARTIN, Tennessee – A student absence phone call that went to every family of students at a West Tennessee middle school caused an uproar. The automated call is set to go out at 9 a.m. each day from Martin Middle School, but only to families whose children have been marked absent that day. WCMT Radio in Martin reported the call on Wednesday went to parents of all 475 students at the school.

Principal Nate Holmes said about 20 people showed up at the school in response to it, but dozens of anxious parents called after receiving the message. The school quickly sent another call, saying there had been an error.

Painful to watch. Wolfburg is a good team, in fact they're one of the top team in Germany. It seem the game level at first half with many chances and good defending by both team. But it seem united has the best of them eventhough it's hard to watch after Wolfsburg scored the first goal with a header by Dzeko on the second half. United come back in just three minutes with a spectacular free kick by Ryan Giggs.

The match get more full gear with both team try to scored the winning goals. With just 12 minutes of the game to play, a clever move by berbatov trick the defender and pass the ball to Giggs and then to Carrick converted to goal by a strong swirl ball to the back of the net. That already enough to secure the second with for united in the Champions league campaign.

What a chance and not many chances created until the first half end.

But to be honest, stoke really defending well but surely its not their game since almost all the time united take the possession. Feel really bad for the blues though for losing to Wigan but that is good news for united because of the goal differences, United is at the top. Chiscolm in August sued the largest U.S. bank and its board, demanding that "1,784 billion, trillion dollars" be deposited into his account the next day. He also demanded an additional $200,164,000, court papers show.

What a game, surely many were enjoy watching it. So many drama from the start till the end.

But important thing first, so many mistake by united that lead to the goals and it's very disappointing that looking back at those. The Ben foster sloppy clearing, Ferdinand sloppy pass and many more. I don't expect that united at their level making this unwanted mistake that could ruin the whole game.

At the first half, both side had their own share of possession. The first goal was scored by Rooney in the 2nd minute of the game. Then City retaliate by Barry.

On the second half, United taking the possession with many attempt on goal. A header by Fletcher put united at the front. Four minute after that, once again City level with a spectacular shot by Bellamy. At this point united geared up and many chances to scored was put down by Given. (Especially Berbatov, who have so many chances to scored). United on the front again after another goal with a header by Fletcher. Soon after that, City level again after Ferdinand did not properly making the pass that result in Craig Bellamy second goal.

But at the end, it was united taking the Glory after a spectacular pass by Giggs to Michael Owen that put united at the front on the added time. So it's united 4, city 3.

Getting out from sticky situation

PALM HARBOR – A Gulf coast raccoon has a sheriff's deputy to thank for helping him out of a sticky situation. The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office was alerted to the distressed critter Wednesday morning. A fitness instructor reported seeing the raccoon with his head stuck in a jar at a Palm Harbor elementary school parking lot, about 25 miles north of St. Petersburg.

A deputy responded to the scene and was able to gently approach the animal. Authorities said he managed to pull the peanut butter jar off and set the raccoon free.

SHARPES – A former inmate in Florida was injured while trying to sneak back into jail. Sylvester Jiles suffered severe cuts from barbed wire while trying to climb a 12-foot fence at the Brevard County Detention Center Monday night. The 24-year-old former inmate was released last week from the jail after accepting a plea deal on a manslaughter charge.

He showed up at the jail Monday night and asked to be taken back into custody because he feared family members of his victim would retaliate against him. Jail officials said they couldn't take him in and told him to file a police report. Instead, he tried to climb over the barbed-wire fence and fell in his attempt.

BETHLEHEM – Authorities in eastern Pennsylvania say they have identified a suspected bank robber using the wallet he left behind.

Bethlehem police say 51-year-old Lloyd Virgil Barclay held up a KNBT branch on Wednesday morning, making off with $800. But Barclay forgot his wallet, which police say he placed on the teller's counter when he presented a note demanding money.

THE HAGUE – A treasured piece of moon rock showcased in a key Amsterdam museum is nothing but petrified wood, museum authorities said of a gift made to a former Dutch prime minister by a US envoy.

LONDON - The deaths of no fewer than four people after being trampled by cows in the past two months has prompted Britain's main farming union to issue a warning about the dangers of provoking the normally docile animals.

Cows can become aggressive and charge, especially when calves are present and walkers are accompanied by dogs, said the National Farmers Union (NFU).

The union and the Ramblers' Association both advise that walkers release dogs from their leads when passing through a field of cows.

Great game, but should been more by united. So far for this first game, united is doing okay and if this carry on rest assure that the title will stay at old trafford.

Let's go to the technical, it seems the united defender is still not to their standard with ferdinand and vidic out for injury. The two shot from the opponent just show that Ben foster is not at the same level as van der sar but still two thumbs up for him since he save the 1 on 1 with chucho.

The score was fantastic; Rooney does a splendid finish even though it takes a kick after a header to score. But still so many chances for united that could give a different at the full time score. One that really should been a goal is the final minute after a deflection from Rooney to Owen; it’s a 1 on 1 against Hart. That would be a great preview for the new appointed no7.

Overall, great game and hopefully this will carry on throughout this season.

Drunk and lost in the hotel!

WELLINGTON - An extremely drunk, naked man lost his way at a New Zealand hotel and ended up sleeping in the wrong room, forcing its female occupant to hide in the bathroom, local media reported.

The 29 year-old Australian man had gone back the hotel in the resort town of Queenstown with a woman, but got up in the night and wandered into a bedroom where a couple were sleeping.

FA Community Shield 2009: Result

As expected, it's a great games by both side with a lot of on field drama. First of all, forget about Ronaldo here's Nani with his own style of play and his shot that put united on front was a spectacular shot in this early season. So hopefully that kind of play will carry on through out this new season.

Not so much action after the 1st score at the 10th minute of the game to the half time Wiesel. 2nd half, the blues was dominating the game and score their first goal after 6th minute of play in the second half. Then the drama start between Patrice Evra and Michael Ballack that took a toll on the rest of the game.

One thing for sure is, the referee seem to be bias|one sided. Right before the second goal, Evra was foul by ballack, and the game didn't stop and the blues got their goal. But the fact is, right before that incident, ballack just fall without any foul by evra but the referee stop the game without any reason. So I think the FA really have to take a look at that to make sure a fair play in all their future games and for the EPL football.

First of all, it surely will be a great game but I'm sorry to say this that at the moment Chelsea really has the upper hand since a lot of united first line-up will not be feature in this game and all the early season of the premier league. So that is one bad news for MUTD and especially the Fans. But the good news is since this is the pre-season game, they usually using experimental line-up, but since this is involving the two biggest club in England the chances for that to happen is pretty slim. But if it does, we doesn't have to worry since the EPL is what we must look forward to.

SHANGHAI, CHINA - No scars, no history of serious illness in the last three generations of your family, and no tooth cavities.

These are amongst the 100 health requirements for would-be astronauts vying to be part of China's next space team, the Yangtse Evening Paper reported Saturday.

The selection process, which the paper said is for the second batch of Chinese astronauts, will disqualify those who have runny noses, ringworm, drug allergies or bad breath.

Aside from the physical requirements of the job, the candidate must also possess a pleasant and adaptable disposition, the paper said.

Kid Driving: Not so funny anymore!

TORONTO, CANADA - A YouTube video showing a 7-year-old boy at the wheel of a sport utility vehicle -- with his family cheering him on -- has prompted an investigation by Quebec police and family services, police said on Tuesday.

The video, apparently shot by the boy's father from the SUV's passenger seat as the boy drives and his mom and siblings watch from the back seat, was brought to the attention of Quebec Provincial Police on Monday, Sergeant Chantal Mackels said.

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA - A flea-bitten dog rescued from a squalid backyard is to be reunited with her owners 1,000 miles away, nine years after she disappeared.

The dog called Muffy, was found sleeping on a tattered piece of cardboard in a backyard in Melbourne with a bad skin condition and matted coat by the RSPCA after an anonymous call.

RSPCA Victoria spokesman Tim Pilgrim said Muffy was found to have been microchipped which did not fit at all with the circumstances so they decided to try to track down the dog's owners whom they found in Brisbane.

Lucky: Bomb hoax suspect escape jail!

LONDON, England - A British teen-ager who phoned the White House and claimed as part of a "drunken prank" that there was a bomb in the center of New York, escaped jail on Monday.

Thomas Hutchinson, 19, from Sheffield, northern England, made a "giggling" call to the White House switchboard after drinking with friends at a barbecue last May, and claimed there was a bomb in Madison Square Garden.

The operator pressed a malicious call trace button and it was found to have been made in Britain.

NEW YORK, United States - The electrical smell that caused a Southwest Airlines Co flight to make an unexpected landing Sunday was caused by a coffee maker in the back of the aircraft, a company spokesman said on Monday.

The coffee maker was in the back galley of the Boeing 737 plane. The aircraft was examined and put back into service by 12:30 p.m. EDT Sunday, said Southwest spokesman Chris Mainz.

ISTANBUL, TURKEY - A restaurant owner in southwest Turkey was shot dead after he tried to prevent his customers from smoking to comply with a new law on the use of tobacco indoors, Hurriyet daily said on Thursday.

A fight broke out after Hidir Karayigit, 46, ordered a group of customers to extinguish their cigarettes when they began smoking at his "meyhane," a traditional restaurant that serves alcohol, in the town of Saruhanli, Hurriyet said.

One of the customers shot Karayigit four times after he took away the group's cigarettes, said witness Hamza Havutcu, Karayigit's business partner who was also shot and wounded.

Turkey's government on July 19 introduced a nationwide ban on indoor smoking, including bars and restaurants, despite the fact that half of Turks aged between the ages of 15 and 49 smoke; one of the highest rates in the world.

What a saucy sausage can do!

LONDON - A saucy radio advert for sausages which encouraged listeners to reveal "where you like to stick yours" was criticized by Britain's advertising watchdog on Wednesday.

The ads for Mattesons smoked sausages elicited 21 complaints from listeners who said they were offensive because of the sexual innuendo and should not have been aired when children were likely to be listening.

"Think about all the things you can stick this tasty, extraordinarily large sausage in," one advert said.

"Mmm... Pizza, pasta, stir fry. You have any ideas? Give me a call and tell me where you like to stick it."

Kerry Foods, which makes the sausages, said its adverts were intended to be tongue-in-cheek and were not designed to be offensive.

First class escape!

BRUSSELS - Three prisoners escaped from a jail outside the Belgian city of Bruges in a hijacked helicopter Thursday, authorities said.

Media reports said the escapees flew to the town of Aalter, then seized a black Mercedes from its female driver and robbed a service station before heading for the Belgian coast.

A Justice Ministry spokesman said no one had been hurt, and that the jailbreak had not been from the high-security wing, which had nets to prevent such escapes.

However, media said the escapees included one of Belgium's most dangerous criminals, Ashraf Sekkaki, who had more than 16 convictions for violence, including kidnappings for ransom.

The Belga news agency quoted the spokesman as saying that one of the accomplices who flew the helicopter into the jail had been left behind, perhaps because there was not enough room for all to get away in the helicopter.

PATNA, India - Farmers in an eastern Indian state have asked their unmarried daughters to plow parched fields naked in a bid to embarrass the weather gods to bring some badly needed monsoon rain, officials said on Thursday.

Witnesses said the naked girls in Bihar state plowed the fields and chanted ancient hymns after sunset to invoke the gods. They said elderly village women helped the girls drag the plows.

Another snake in the building incident!

BHUBANESWAR, India - A stray snake brought parliament to a standstill for several hours on Thursday in India's Orissa state, officials said.

A cleaner spotted the intruder, believed to be a king cobra, while sweeping in the morning and called the assembly's watchman.

The speaker of the assembly in the state capital Bhubaneswar adjourned the house as security personnel, wildlife officials and a member of a local snake helpline searched unsuccessfully for the creature with the help of a sniffer dog.

BERLIN - German police had to rescue a 20-year-old man from a train station suitcase locker after he shut himself in for fun and began to suffocate.

After a night out drinking with friends, squeezing into the locker had seemed like an amusing idea to the man, police in the southwestern city of Ludwigshafen said Friday.

But the laughter faded when he started to run out of oxygen and his companions couldn't open the locker. Police broke open the door and dragged the groggy man to safety.

Red handed: Underwear thief

BERLIN - German police uncovered over 1,000 pairs of underpants and more than 100 pairs of swimming trunks after catching a thief nabbing another three pairs for his collection.

The 46-year-old man was caught Sunday pinching three pairs of pants from a sports hall in the western town of Gelnhausen. Police then came across the enormous collection of underwear while searching his flat.

Hippo are no seller or related!

BOGOTA - Colombia has called off the hunt to kill a drug lord's escaped hippo and will instead try to relocate the beast after its mate was shot dead by order of the government, sparking outrage from animal rights groups.

The giant animals were imported from Africa by late cocaine king Pablo Escobar and put in his zoo. They escaped in 2006 to live in the wild near the Magdalena river in northern Colombia, causing concerns about local public safety.
